Plaza Cafe

Southampton

283-9323

Pleasant - Good Food -- Good Value -- Consistent

A comfortable setting with good on site parking and just a stones throw from the Southampton movie house

La Parmigiana Southampton 282-8030 Always Crowded family style restaurant-- Excellent take-out menu
Large portions -- can be shared -- NO reservations. Hampton Rd. Parking in the rear.

Gosman's

Montauk

668-5330 More than a restaurant -- Like a theme park with surprisingly good food. Clams and fried fish are reliable.  Priced ok for a family.  Good view of the harbor.

Armand's

Southampton

283-9742

The original Menu Returns !! Try Armand's wonderful vegetable Lasagna and other fine dishes.  Prices are up a bit -- but what isn't in the Hamptons this year.

O'Mallys

East Hampton

324-9010

Excellent hamburgers and fish "quick meal" for that Friday or Sunday commute day.  Try the Ribs with a Guinness Stout.

Note the Noyack location is no longer O'Mallys

Harvest

Montauk

668-5574

On Fort Pond Bay

When dining in the Montauk area don't miss this excellent and outstanding restaurant. Try the calamari salad, or the lamb ribs or the whole  fish dish.

This is a place for 6 or 8 persons as a group since all of the entrees are for two.

Marks special hint -- If you're making reservations ask for the corner round table !

Peconic Coast

East Hampton

324-6772

A no reservations place -- serving fine American style fare

Sams

East Hampton

324-5900

On the list again this year A perennial Marks favorite  in East Hampton

The food is simple, adequate and always well served.  Close enough on Newtown Lane to the East Hampton cinema so you can dash in just before or after that late show.

Stone Creek Inn

East Quogue

653-6770

A happening place -- a bit noisy for some -- this restaurant features a broad range of continental fare.  Try the fish.

Paradise

Sag Harbor

725-6080

Now part of a Book Store The Paradise located on Main Street is a place where you can see the celebs and be seen, and even get a good meal.

B Smiths

Sag Harbor

725-5858

Dine inside or out.  The host herself is often in attendance -- at the water in Sag Harbor.

Eat and drink while watching the sail boats and motor yachts.  On windy nights the noise from the rapping of the halyards can be a problem.

Food is simple but ok -- mostly American and fish.  It’s the location that sets this place apart.

Honorable Mention -- but not on the list yet
